All right, I AM frustrated about this. WHY IS VALVENUT NOT RESTRICTED TO +25 KD and can use ANY weapon past 25 kills. This is a JOKE. He is the BEST (at least as good as me) player in WAW. Yet I HAVE to switch to bolt at 25 AND have KD restriction of +25. He just posted 43+ kills and greater than 25 KD (all with a bolt, was his argument so it doesn't matter. HE EVEN BRAGS THAT HE CAN DO IT WITH A BOLT (so make him). He doesn't need the M1A OR ANYTHING BUT A BOLT , LIKE ME , past 25) and better than 25 KD. What bothers me the most is the UNFAIRNESS of this. No complaints if ALL are treated the same, but to give a great player (yes, I said GREAT) that kind of unrestricted play if clearly CLAN FAVORITISM. It is UNFAIR to let this go on. Also, You can throw other clearly GOOD players like (OTAC) H8WAITIN and(OTAC) Knollseisen and maybe even (OTAC) MegaJerk (Jerk May already be restricted, I am not sure ) , others may well apply. , although they are not as good a Valve. It is a giant P.I.A. constantly be worrying about getting kicked at 25 of going past 25 KD. In fairness, Valve should have the same restriction. SERIOUSLY! Ok Bolt,( and MasterOfGuns/Soro) Thank you for your patience and bringing this matter to our attention. I have gathered all of the data I needed and spoke with Mackey and some of the affected people. So let's go over the data: Here is Valvenut: http://24.147.101.172/otac/players/50/12 32134520.png So despite what we would like to see he has sort fell off the self-limit wagon a bit. I see that he is ranked 1st or 2nd nearly 66% of the time he plays. I have spoken with Valve and he recognizes this and he volunteered to be put back into the restricted group to help remind him while playing and to make it a non-issue for other skilled players. So valve will actual have a tighter restriction. He must switch to a bolt/shotgun at 20 Kills with a 20 K-d limit and on special maps he will have a 25 K-D limit since they tend to have higher scores (like shotgun). So if Valve owns you going forward it is on you! LOL Here is H8W8IN: http://24.147.101.172/otac/players/50/09 07388616.png Now H8W8IN is the poster-child for doing everything right in terms of self limiting. His scores look resonable. High kills also have high deaths, and he cut loose only once (40+ kills ) in the last 50 maps, and it was on a shotgun map too. Looks great. No restrictions needed for H8W8IN since he is well within the limits. People tend to remember the high matches and forget the mediocre matches. He is only ranked 1st or 2nd 10% of the time. No complaints from me and there should be no complaints from you. Thank you for not looking at me Bitter. When I am playing I remind Valve to slow down, haven't been on for a week due to traveling. I'll be around in the evenings, and keep a bug in ears. I've been nerfing my game and then there is the whole fourth shot thing helping me not kill everyone, but sometimes things work out well for me and I don't notice I am doing well. The less I look the better I do it seems. Maybe Valve should look more often. |

By the way, using the same objective analysis, I have also removed Noobville/Apu/AngryAnt from the restricted group too in exchange for a pledge to self limit. Since I am on this track, I am going to review others in the restricted group and seek similar pledges if the numbers warrant it. This will be done on a case by case basis. Remember everyone, this is not a free pass to go nuts, that is what got you in the restricted group to begin with. |

I dont know, I still think that the kills restriction is a really good idea, but it should be applied in an automatic format, for example: 1 - You reach a kill/min ratio of 14+, so you are automatically restricted 2 - You reach a kill/min ratio of 13-, so you are automatically unrestricted 3 - You reach a kill/min ratio less than 5, so you receive a detailed plan about how to comeet suicide Whatever, we have to thank OtaC members and server owner, first for exist and keep the server FOR FREE, second for listen to the community, and third for its disposal to improve the game's environment.
