Not an appeal....got accused of running....was being shot at from both sides and literally died before the warning from Powder river got posted. I record a lot of my games, unfortunately not this one or one certain admin would be looking pretty silly right now... I asked for the ban, got one, job done, thanks for the games.... Ironically, kicked for swearing....calling bull is bad but bullquack is ok....er yeah, righto....

Hey Sid, sounds like a heat of the moment reaction. Perhaps asking for the Ban to be lifted might be a better way to go. You have always been a straight shooter in my book. |

I was in the server at the time .CRF450 started to argue about the warning on global text .and he typed "Go on ban me "wich got him banned .In my opinion i didnt see the incident i was on the opposite team .CRF450 should have brought his objection to the forum instead of on the server .PowderRiver did not arise to the argument The way he handled it was correct . |

CRF450, A couple of points...... 1. I enjoy the humor embedded in the fact that if a player asks explicitly to be kicked or banned then the system will oblige. It makes me smile, so please do not be upset by the ban, you did type "ban me" LOL!!!! 2. I have always considered you to be an upstanding regular, and that has not changed. I would not sweat it if an admin warned you for running, even if you were at the time. In my book you have enough "street credit" for us to ignore any momentary inadvertent mishap if one were to occur. 3. Although we would like all of our admin to apply the same guidelines, judgment, and discretion when performing any warnings or kicks etc, unfortunately we are merely individuals with differing temperaments, levels of tolerance, suspicion, and ability to respond in a non-confrontational manner. The server owner HondaSalesman has little tolerance for "heavy-handed admin" in fact we have recently removed an admin from the clan for exactly that. We don't want admin to be confrontational. 4. If a player is warned for running, then an admin/member believes he saw the infraction. It is possible that he may be right, or he may simply lack context. Hindsight is not available to the admin at that point to gather context, so it is a judgement call. In either case there is no real issue since it is benign, you are not kicked, even if the admin got it wrong. This is where we wish we had regulars that were uniform in temperament, since either it will bounce off you as no big deal, or it exacerbates into a hostile situation. We don't want that. Both regulars and admin need to respond in a manner which helps defuse any hostility from the other side. So I looked at the chat logs ..... Or Private message, or come to Teamspeak and talk to one of: BitterSpock, MrMackeyMkay, HondaSalesman, Five-O, or J-Man and I assure you that will be able to have a respectful and fair discussion and resolution to your issue. Also going forward, try not to sweat the small stuff. Warnings are small stuff. And please do not confront admin in the heat of the moment even if you believe you are right and they are wrong. If admin are in the wrong we will address that, as I said we have recently removed a hostile admin for being confrontational, but we can also remove players for being confrontational too, so please be respectful. Anyone knows me in-game....I'm as pedantic as they come for runners. That's why I took such umbrage to the accusation. Up til today I don't think any other admin has ever accused me other than Powder...got a warning today by coincidence, for running to throw a nade. I know what I did... primed the nade in crouch then stood up and jumped simultaneously.. looks like a run because of the change of posture from crouch to upright as well as the jump.... |

I guess it all depends on whether the jump had forward or lateral movement associated with it. If you where not moving and stood and jumped straight up and down then no issue. If jumped forward then you should not be doing that. I was in game when the second warning happened. But I did not witness the alleged infraction so I have no informed opinion. There's camping issue and spawn killing issue on this map and that's why I removed this map, some how it's back to the cycle, if spawn on water fall side, walking out spawn either sides you got killed by campers on the temple (left) and bunker on the right. I kicked many many players before, when did more than 3 kills hide behind bunker doing spawn killing and did kicked a member too, if I was on spectate I would be easy on people run out of spawn (water fall). a quick 3 5 steps avoid spawn kill I would not say anything, guys you have to bend the rules according situation and condition. at last a friendly reminder of members if I see you camp on either have intention to move forward I would kick you without warning. specially the good players and you know who you are

CRF450, "CRF450rt : learn the rules dummy" is actually the least caustic of the responses on the list. Irony is found in how this line actually reduces the volatility of the whole, while you reject it as not being yours. It is like saying "hey when I am rude, I go all the way".
