Dear Admins, Here you are a report concerning the player Komrad-22rus during a match occurred today. Name: OTaC OmegaLine1 Player: Komrad22-rus Time: 240930UTC (am) Oct 2019 around about. Event description: During the match in map Hangar I saw two times Komrad22-rus using pistol in the wrong way. He was inside and firing outside. The first time I was not totally sure of this wrong action because few seconds before to do that he declared OOA. Then I saw him collecting weapon from a body and using once again the pistol firing outside even if then he was killed. I thought that maybe the attempt to collect a new weapon from the body was unsuccessful due to the fact that he could find a weapon without rounds inside. During the second time that Komrad-22rus was using the pistol firing outside, I was totally sure of his wrong action because he was killing me outside and he did not declared OOA. So I gave him a WP. He started to shout on the game in Russian language. Unfortunately I do not speak Russian. For this reason I wrote on the chat to speak English. So he started to shout in English saying many rude words and offending me in many ways. I simply kicked him for 100 seconds ( I admit I made a mistake because my intention was to kick him for 100 minutes ). Observation: I think that this behaviour should be punished by banning him if he did in the past a similar action against other admin. I do not have a history about him . Just I remember him as a player that normally try to break rules any time he can do that. I think even if that disregarding his attitude to break rules ( in this case a kick should solve the problem ) , it could be not acceptable to offend anyone during the game. I did not banned him because I am still not experienced with rcon commands and I would like to avoid to create any problems at the game. Anyway I would kindly ask to all of you and especially to the Senior Admins to solve this problem. For sure the lack of this impolite and rude player will be not a big loss for the server. I think 2-3 days should work. As most of us don't understand a word of what he says or types, it's very hard to monitor it. But this is far from the first time. He also breaks the rules from time to time. Oddly, I asked him once to help me explain the rules in Russian to another player and he did so and helped resolve an issue for the admins. We have other players that go off like this from time to time and I think a short break is appropriate. |

Dear friends and Senior Admins, Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate your decision and I hope that this player in the future will behave better. This is just a game and a game is done for fun. For this reason I do not understand and I do not accept rude people. I think that the respect for the admin as well for all the rest of players is mandatory and not a choice. Therefore I would avoid that someone could believe that he/she could act as he/she wants with a "young" admin ( and that does not reach super scores ). An Admin is an Admin: he/she stays on the server not only for fun but especially to accomplish a mission that is to grant fair play and fun for all, both veterans and rookie ones. OmegaLine, You need to not take things too much to heart. We are not looking to punish people. The more confrontational we are the more it exacerbates players' reactions. I have noticed more editorial comments from you that tend to polarize people for or against your position. For example you asked if you could kick a player because they were blocking you. That thought would not have crossed my mind. If I can't get by someone I just knife them until they get the hint. no words, no drama. We want tolerant admins. The problem is not how long you have been and admin, and people are picking on the new admin. The problem is that when you editorialize or engage players that can cause tempers to flare on both sides. This is why I encourage just communicating with bitterbot commands. Nothing extra. You have to be calm in reaction to adversity. If you are getting heated up, stop admining and take a break, have some ice cream, whatever. All regulars are valuable to the server. If all of the players who have issues left we would have an empty server. Celebrate the times that komrad is not cursing, which is 99.9999% of the time, and ignore the times that he is. People have bad days in their real lives and maybe that makes them grumpy in game. Everyone does. Let it all bounce off. It is just a game. If it not fun then what is the point of playing. You don't have to punish everyone for every little thing. For example camping, Unless the person is camping past limits and is like 25 and 1, then it is not a problem. If a player is 5 and 2 and is camping past limits, so what, it is not a problem. Anyway, I guess my overall message is engage people less, and don't sweat the small stuff. We want patience and tolerance, and we seek to educate not punish the players. |
