Hey gang, I was wondering if you guys have been having issues with the W@W server not showing up or people not being able to join? I'm with SnR and we've been having issues with Activision's master servers. If you guys are, please let me know. Thanks in advance. |

I remember a long while ago there was an issue with the master server that prevented people from connecting. I had devise a work around on the linux server that hosts our bot that ran as a cron job that sends: rcon reset sv_dwlsgerror every few minutes, which placed our server in a state that allowed players to connect even though the master server was toast. I have never turned it off and it has been on for over a year. If what you are seeing is the same situation, then trying the above 'reset sv_dwlsgerror' as an rcon command just like 'map_rotate' would be sent remotely is worth a try. Until I had identified this solution, we kept having to restart the server over and over again to get it able to have players reconnect. The failure mode was that players that were connected stayed connected and the server population slowly dissipated since new players could not join. In any case, OTaC is not at present time experiencing any issues in this regard right now. But like I said I still have the mitigation in place so I am immune to that issue as it presented itself long ago. Other possibilities could be that your game server provider has scheduled maintenance, or someone in your clan has made an error while tweaking your game instance's config files. Hey BitterSpock, that rcon command works to let people back onto the server, but it doesn't force the server to be seen unless you have it in your favorites. So far, restarting the server every 2 hours. That's the only way we are able to get our server to show up. Just so you know, the OutTact server doesn't show up unless the server is in your favorites. |

I thought I had an issue with my game installation as only 15-20 servers show up when I select internet. Thankfully OTAC is in my favorites but it does not show up when I select internet. I am curious as to what has changed? |

It's been like that for me recently. Very few servers showing and otac only in my favourites. |

Geheime, it all has to do with Activision's Master Servers. There is an issue there and will continue until Activision resolves the problem, unfortunately. The only way to get servers to show up is they need to be restarted about every 2 hours. At least that's what is happening with my clan's server. |

It works great, thanks so much for the info. I just wanted you to know that the only way the OutTact server shows up is in Favorites. If you have the menu set up as Internet, it doesn't show up in the list. The only way we get ours to show up is by restarting every hour and 50 or so minutes. |

Last time this happened it took ~2-3 weeks before the master server got its shit together |
