Not sure that I understand fully why PB was on when it hasn't been used for the last few years? We didn't have an issue when the server opened so did it activate by something that we did? |

it was activated by a copy of the ruleset where it was on by standard at first i couldnt find where it ran from PB is still used by many to scan players also for scanning for scripts like fast fire wich uses binding mousewheel fire stuff like that. This isnt waterproof of course as many ppl like to gain an advantage to others by using macro`s on there keys to have fast fire, fast reload etc. binding like attack;wait 2;-attack;wait 2;+attack; +reload;weapnext;wait 2;weapnext most of these binding comes from the bunnyhopping communitie that prefer to play promod promod is a mod that supports bind scripts like this even sets them for ya. Makes sense. I figured once it was turned off it wouldn't activate. I have researched cheat issues with COD4, seems like all COD games are a favorite for attacks and cheats. |

thanks for posting the PB files Rampant. Got it running... I, for one, will never understand the need for people to cheat. The whole point is to be challenged and improve your skills. It's especially pathetic on ancient games like this... but what can you do? |

Hello. In the case you dont have it, this is an antimombot you can use in the pb files, just add them to the pB to work. All this is thinking to stay in server side only, and the antimombot script has detailed infor about what cvars and dvars you hace to control in the server pb confog to be detected. This evite the autoaim, aimbot and many other hacks in cfg or files in players throught the PB. The other file mombit script is an script to detect that through cfg in server config files. And the others files are setttings for PB in server side to watch and have a clean server, they detect and warning and band for use of scripts and other hacks aswell. You will see the cvar added "Handicap", In this onem you can set a name for player determinate, you want follow in PB and have all cvars and dvras control in this player, you can set different players as i set up in the file, several names, you have only to change those names for those you want, and the Pb is going to check this players along the game, so is a way to have many detailed info if those "suspetc" player have something in their binds, config or scripts in use. This are some alternative settings for the pbcv.cfg in server: // Here is a recommended list of cvars to check for cheats. If entered directly into your pbsv.cfg, we recommend adding the line // pb_sv_cvarempty before the cvar checks. This is to prevent re-stacking and "pile-on" ( duplicate ) cvar checks that can // increase lag and cpu performance. Hey Folks, do I have to download each of those map files? I don't have a ton of HD space so if there are a core set of maps that I should have and can hold off on others, that would be great to know. Also, I heard on TS that there is a certain version of the game to be using, which one is it? Can't wait to check things out and hope to see you all on there soon! |

Hey Creepy, most of the maps played are the originals and about a half dozen of custom maps, so no need to be concerned about downloading all of those files, that's about 900 maps. As for the version, the game sold through Steam is COD4 MW v1.8, the one we have installed on the server is 1.7 which is the original CD version. Don't confuse this game with the remastered version of COD4 which came out in 2016, this is the original game. Steam marketed the original 1.7 version of it as 1.8 which nobody plays. |

Steam use auto-upgrade you can turn that on by clicking the properties. To downgrade your steam version you can DL the executable from TS in the filebrowser of Lobby 2. You can have all the upgrades of steam but as soon as this file is in your on 1.7 |

See if it helps if you delete the folder "otac_openwarfare_v1" in the mods folder |

You can have all the upgrades of steam but as soon as this file is in your on 1.7 I have the executable downloaded. Just copy it in the MW folder? Do I need to install the open warfare mod? How? Do I still need to install PB? OK, replaced the executable and installed the mod, but I still cannot see any OTAC server in the list? Never mind, I had "mods on" set to off in server selection. I have successfully entered the server and leveled up in under one minute, LOL. See you on the battlefield (in CoD, not Battlefield  )
