Hello! This pretend to be a little help manual for solve problems with COD4 (can be updated if more quesitions are solved) ***Steam Users and Steam Install*** Maybe you have troubles with steam, and you cant join the server, crash ingame, freezes in pc etc Follow this guide and all is going to be ok: 1-Uninstall your drivers for Video Card and the game files in steam. (Be sure, you delete all configs, savegames, and all files for the game in the steam folder and other files in your pc.) 2-Reboot the pc. 3-Install a fresh and update version of your Video Cards Drivers. Reboot when done. 4-Install the Steam files for COD4. When done, check troght Steam app the integrity of those files. If is ok, continue next Step: 5-Download and unzip this files in your main game folder and follow the Readme Instructions. https://cod4x.me/downloads/cod4x_client_ 20_1.zip If all is ok, your game has been updated to the correct version and now, you can continue to play in Outtac Server, Enjoy!! Extra Info: Sometimes sound drivers, or sound devices, can crash your game to desktop, cause you have to deactivate all sound devices you reallu dont need in windows options for sound devices. Also, you will need attact a working micro in your settings and configure to make it work. And, at last but not less important, when all is working, is a good idea make a copy of all your steam folder for Cod4 and keep in safe, for next times. ***Non Steam Users or CD Key Users with CD*** If you have te cd and cd key, all is fine, just install and update using the ingame browser, there is an option to update files in automatic. If you dont have our cd copy, but you have the cd key, you can download and install this one and follow next steps: I assume, you have a clean updated version of your Video Card Drivers, if not, uninstall your drivers, reboot and install the new ones in a clean install. 1-Download and Install this files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1 W5779ysvditsUXCC-wa1WKpsqbsP_vdv 2-Download and install this: https://mega.nz/file/ORhgFbSb#qUwYAysj-E DPklomNb6ta_rDfY07HcaX0g29eVLIM9g This contents, the PB folder and EA account, (EASY ACCOUNT, allows you have all unblocked weapons and Prestiges) Download the file extract the PB folder in your game directory and all is ok. For use EA account follow instructions in readme. When all is done, you must be able to join in Outtact server wihout problems, and your game is already patched at the correct version. So Enjoy!!
