First, let me start off by stating that I do not use this button on the OuTac, or any other, server for that matter. Anyhow, my mouse has a 7th button on it and when using a semi-auto weapon it turns it into a fully auto weapon. I was just wondering if this were allowed on your servers, because I have seen some people over the last year or so using either a double-tap button or a macro. I am attaching a rather short demo showing me firing a Gewehr with my normal fire button and then firing using my double-tap button. Meagan asked me to post here so you admins can discuss it in your future meetings. |

I think that the normal Fire Button is the Best, because we do not allow Autofire Buttons or Mousewheel fire. I think it would not be fair to others who dont have a double tap button, other player push 2 times when you have only one push for 2 bullets. I bet there are allot of players using such buttons. As normal mouse player you dont have any chance against someone who use it.(special for Rifle) Last edit by Nair0lF at 2017-03-31 at 3:07 AM (3x Edited) |

No need for a future meeting topic. Any mechanical or software-based enhancement to automate otherwise human-initiated input events in considered cheating and not allowed on OTaC servers. For example macros or scrollwheels for increased fire rate or sequences of movements such as "flop then move left then lunge knife then back up" as a single keypress using a macro of some sort. If we see a player doing rapid fire, we would record a video, and then attempt to make the same fire rate using un-enhanced means. If we can't achieve that speed, we assume a hack, or macro, or mechanical enhancement, and ban the player. Same would be true if you trained a woodpecker to hit your fire button. Woodpeckers would be allowed if only the woodpecker was playing. |

I tried mouse wheel for fire many years ago, my experience is that i lost my accuricy when firing with it. Just like in real life, controlled single fire is the most accurate and deadliest! ------------------ For you its, [Sir]-Pingo- ooyeah baby... |
