In game name: SnowStorm_ ban date: Around August 19 2017 ban type: Permanently banned Hello OTaC clan I've been an infrequent player on your server for the past few months (with my level getting reset when i reinstalled cod). I played a couple of games where i reached ~30 kills last Friday (August 18 or so) and then stopped playing. The next time I tried logging in I found out that I was perma banned. May I know the cirumstances regarding the permanent ban and would like to kindly appeal it. Thank you! |

Okay, there are a few reasons for you to possibly be banned: 1. An admin banned you using an external admin tool (no log record, requires admin to make a post in forums to provide justification) 2. An admin banned you using our in-game bot 3. In game bot automatically banned you (such as text chat racist remarks, or aimbot auto-detect) 4. In game bot has a coding error and intended to ban a different player 5. One of three senior people (Bitter, Honda, Mackey) manually added you to the ban list. I reviewed the ban list and there is no notation of why the ban happened ruling out #5 I reviewed the bot log and I see no evidence of #2, #3, or #4 So that leaves #1 I looked in the forums, and I see no posting to justify the ban. So that means there are two possible outcomes: - 1A: An admin did not follow protocol and failed to post in the forums. or - 1B: The server owner Honda believed you were hacking or scoring too high and banned you anonymously to protect the server population. So I can't research #1A, but I can research #1B Here is your last 100 matches (most recent on right in middle graph) http://24.147.101.172/otac/players/100/1 065796807.png You are playing well but not crazy, unless the server population was low. So as far as I am concerned I have performed due diligence in verifying all possible ban reasons and in the absence of any supporting data to justify the ban, I am inclined to lift your ban immediately. So the ban is lifted and you are now free to play. I apologize for the inconvenience but I really have no idea who banned you (and possible unintentionally) or what server hiccup caused this to happen in the first place. I found no evident hack or cussing of the ban that why I did not label the reason and will unban all banned players with no post to give them a second chance any way

Occasionally, some admin (let's call them ... Honda lol ) forget to RELOAD the ban.txt file before editting and saving, so that prior edits are lost. I have re-unbanned you .... Sorry for the fallibility in our system.... Bitter |
