Been noticing that lately, I think everyone gets it. Could be something with the server or CoD being wonky. I thought it was my mouse at first since I have a laser mouse. |

I maybe think a recent driver update on my mx518 was the cause. Rollback today and all ok |

It is the mouse or the driver...... more likely the mouse If you have an older mouse with a ball (not optical) then you have some cleaning to do. If you have a corded optical or ball mouse the tension on the cord can cause the mouse to move. You may also have a dirty/faulty keyboard, that some of the keys map to movement like w a s d, and they are getting stuck. Finally you could have a dirty mouse pad (if optical mouse), OR you are not using a mouse pad and you have a wood-grained desk causing havoc with the optics. If you have tried all of that, then I would look at the driver if recently updated. Power-off and power-on the computer can help too. I find that some drives act flaky when coming out of sleep modes. |

I will sometimes have this happen and it's usually a cat hair in the mouse interfering with the led. A couple of puffs of air will clear it out. |

I recommend alcohol on qtip and clean the IR led and receiver. |

Had same problem, opened mouse up and it had a dust buildup on inside of the transparent thingy. If all else fails, grab a screwdriver or just shell out for a new mouse. |

The ball and mouse is priceless. What would be even better is the mouse with the ball on top. |
