Hi guys,

Any Aussies that are polite enough to reply re abnormally high Ping from Sydney or rest of Australia?

I asked in game, but the non members from AUS weren't polite enough to reply (wit and see if you ever decide to ask for membership...)….

I moved from Fast Cable to NBN (same equipment, same telco, slower download for more money....compulsory here).

My ping went from 220 to 305.....

Anyone else has had these problems?

Sometimes it happens that the ping change, happens to me alot of Time, first 1 had 145 155 ping to chicago ,then it drop to 115 , i think the last Time it was 125, Sometimes it could help to change maxpackets and maxfps, i did this and my ping drops down 20 - 30 fps and run stable, but sometimes it goes higher i Restart my Router and its fine, wait 5 min and Restart.

HI Villas

Is this constant now or now and then. Just that the week before I went from 220 to 380 for a couple days and couldn't find a reason. I did a tracert (traceroute) in Command Prompt and found I was being directed from NZ to Seoul and Hong Kong before hitting Stateside, instead of straight across the Pacific.

Have you contacted your ISP if you cant diagnose from your end, they should be in the know.

You go through my global gateway as well, but then it goes pear shape for you, once you are in US. Thought you should have similar route to me.

Mine to OTaC server takes a different quicker route

I'm no IT expert, some else may have ideas. Suppose you have tried restarting or set router/modem back to default?
Best bet, get hold of Telstra maybe and see if they can help if problem persists?

High ping resolved: hard reset to the Router/Modem.

Now all I need to do is understand why the game crashes every time it starts over and over again. Thought it was the graphic files (re-installed all) but it didn't work.

Might be something to do with the audio files of the motherboard.....errors relating to the front jack of the earpiece often come up....will explore that.

game crash reasons.
1. Overwolf - agree with Hans - do not use
2. Steam overlay - do not use- basically anything that overlays on top of full screen graphics is bad.
3. Your video AND AUDIO drivers are not up to date.
4. You run fullscreen and tab out to other windows - this is unstable. You need to get Borderless Windows Gaming app and run the game in windowed mode at monitor native resolution. The app removes the Windows border. This make it okay to switch focus to other windows applications
