Been coming to this server on and off since I revisited the game in about 2014.
Spock joined the server (Outskirts/BO), while I was doing well. He says something along the lines of like "are you kidding?" and boom, perm ban.
You claim this place is for everyone, you made a system that tracks one's performance and balance you out, yet I'm banned without comitting a single violation against any rules.
Why someone would go against their own principals, I can't tell you, but it sounds like a sore loser to me. Very keen on hearing the explanation for this one.

The data:

Last 50 matches....
http://66.30.91.48/otac/players/50/07878 49365.png

Last 100 matches....
http://66.30.91.48/otac/players/100/0787 849365.png

Visually it appears as though you suddenly from match 32-85 suddenly gained "skill" and I have never seen a flatter rank.
Either you are hacking, or you possess such amazing skill that there is no difference between skill and hacking.

Looking at ALL your matches:
http://66.30.91.48/otac/players/max/0787 849365.png

Yes I do believe one day you all of sudden "got amazing" .... so it would be illogical to assume that you were not "enhanced".

Data based decision to ban....

So please explain your side if I am drawing the wrong conclusion from the preponderance of evidence.

Well.. I can see why this would be an instant ban based off of data only. So let me break it down.

Backstory:
Counter Strike player since 2007. Global Elite in CS:GO on MM since 2013, hit FACEIT level 10 in Europe in 2016. I've been playing countless pro's and practised against x6tence for a few weeks in 2015. This isn't me showing off, but rather saying that the movement, aim and reaction time is in check. Then there's (6th sense)/gamesense such as knowing where it's most likely an enemy will be based on so many factors, pre-aiming every common spots when peeking out, and pre-firing and wallbanging common camping spots. All of this transfers over, and you can see this on any of my demos. My movement alone should be enough for any FPS player to recognize someone good.. Compare demos from the same many maps and see frequent similarities, nothing is random. CoD WaW is a guilty pleasure of mine, as I know most of the players are 50+ dudes who play to relax and have fun, so I just enjoy the massacre.

Statistics:
The spike somewhere after LEVEL ~25 has been experimental. I learned that leveling up meant to have the highest amount of kills. I've had a KD limit of 20 for a long time, so this was an interesting challenge to take on. This meant I no longer joined on-going games - if I joined late, there'd be no way of catching up to the board leader and level up, right? That meant whenever I did play, now matter how inebriated I am, I needed to focus on the kills. My KD limit would obviously stop me rather quick, so that meant suicide. I can't tell where you can see that on the graphs. but many times after reaching the limit, I'd nade myself 2-3 times or more to allow more kills. Then repeat. A few tryharders like myself does this as well, and I can shoot you a DM with names if this is considered illegal. It might feel wrong to do, but not stated anywhere that it is illegal to do so - the team doesn't suffer either from this with loss of pints or is handicapped in any other way. Another aspect of this are other players. If the server was populated, chances of reaching more than 40+ kills is high. So if there was a lot of players at the time, and I got 50 kills, then I wouldn't be able to compete with the other guys in the next few games, because after 39 kills there was nothing I could do, now limiting and selecting my games even further to reach that pefect LEVEL 100. Writing all this out now also made me realize I dont even have the fun I used to. I only play when I'm baked to immerse my self and enjoy the realism of the crouch aspect, but it has turned into a try hard madness.

I've been labeled a hacker throughout my entire gaming career, and while that feels good, getting banned for wrongful judgement is where I draw the line. I totally understand that solely based of off stats and graphs on a sheet that I would look like I just turned cheats on, but my files are completely clean, and punkbuster is always running. I have never altered my files except for a few days ago when I changed my active name from 1AndOnlyGod to XenuTheRuler. I don't even have mods installed!

My gameplay on the demos should prove that I'm innoncent, if the explantion above dosen't. No cheat in any game can mimic my moves. You will also see tons of human mistakes. I miss enemies hiding in plain sight, getting knifed and just overall only react to what I can see, if not what I can hear. I play with a €350 HyperX headset, and switching in between many Pro X and Deathadder mice that I've won in tournaments, so the gear helps.

...just the first thing, that came up in my mind, reading all of that.
If you are such kind of good player, this server is the wrong one for
you. It seems most of the time it doesn't challenge you.

Or to take a look from the other side. The server is a non competitive.
We're playing (and admining) to have fun together, in general no mater
how skilled or unskilled we play. Youngest afaik 9 years, oldest more
then 80 years.

I often read in game chat:"What's that? Banned for being a good player?"
Yes. And i think that's ok. And no matter if hacking or being an excellent
player, a Pro more or less... it's to protect the server and it's community.

That's why i accept a ban based on data.

If you are such kind of good player..

I will not allow anyone to call me hacker if they haven't watched ONE single game of mine. Nothing indicates spin/aimbot, wallhacking or radarhack etc. Watch. One. Game.

We're playing (and admining) to have fun together, in general no mater how skilled or unskilled we play

Is there a definition of fun? Because I still enjoy it. If I was miserable I would have left a long time ago. Oh and did you just say no matter how skilled or unskilled we are? Now that is fun, because I'm sure I'm currently being banned for being too skilled.

I often read in game chat:"What's that? Banned for being a good player?"
Yes. And i think that's ok. And no matter if hacking or being an excellent
player, a Pro more or less... it's to protect the server and it's community.

Alright so this community is NOT for everyone, and you do have criteria. It seems as if a lot of this is in a grey zone, and you clearly go against your own fundamental principals.

You view me as this Grim Reaper bringing non stop terror and ruining the server, when in reality I spend anywhere between 0-3 games/day on here. Banning players for being too good is as petty as me try harding. You claim it's non-competetive when you are literally running a TACTICAL crouch server. That is in it self playing for the competetive aspect and not just mindlessly running and gunning.

Well the latest Games from 125 to end are very suspect, before 0 - 125 you were not that good at all, and then youre score are constandly at same range out of nowhere , i would say if you are agree to play with 15/20 then you should get a chance to play on the server, we Admins need to slow down too and the most doing it without getting any restrictions before, now all players have the same rights, if you are to good the Bot set you a different lvl and thats ok, but for you even these restrictions seems not to work, so for that i would say 15/20 and you can play again. that means if you are 15 and 0 you need to get killed before you can kill again, or if you are 30 and 15 , it only allowed to have 15 between kills and death and have to switch at 20 kills to a bolt. A pro like you should not have any problems with that.

Again, that's because I became concentrated on being number 1. All games account for 23 min (unless the team reach 2500), and before that I would join games with a few minutes left and basically play like a casual while being high.
I was actually on my way to limiting my self even more. I only showed up on the radar because of my high level, but me ranking 1st every game increased my X stat, which when would hit 30, would limit my weapon switch with 5. I went from switch-to-bolt at 30 to 20 within a few days.. I was gonna be down on 10 in a week max. I have always played the same, the difference is I didn't always have a full game to score as high as possible. My score/min on gametracker has always been between 12-14.

At the End BitterSpock and Honda have the right to decide whats good for the server and whats not, OTaC is not a place to have a Competition , we want to have a place were all have fun and if it need to protect the Server. In the Past Honda would Ban you right away, and for that Bitter make the limits for Good Players, to give them a chance and have them under control, we have many players every time you were online who report you to have a look at you. I can only say my opinion in that case, Bitter and Honda have the last Word on that.

While we can most certainly appreciate the skills that you've shown the issue at hand is that we are not a competitive server. Our rules are designed for the average player and when a top tier player comes in and completely dominates the server it is very discouraging to those average players, and that is our server base and what keeps this server going. Our first duty is to maintain the survivability of this server, and unfortunately that can be discouraging to those players of your caliber.

This line of your initial defense is what really sticks out in my mind, and appears to be a window into your true motives ....

"CoD WaW is a guilty pleasure of mine, as I know most of the players are 50+ dudes who play to relax and have fun, so I just enjoy the massacre."

You're here to rack up kills and beat your chest (look at your glowing report of how talented you are!) ..... but, IMO, most of us are here to build and maintain a community. None of us really want to have to deal with being a part of your "massacre" (your word, not mine). If you were truly interested in being part of the community, your actions and words would show that.

I support the efforts of the leadership regarding your ban - best of luck to you in the future.

So your explanation of:
* I will not join a match in the middle so that you have full opportunity to be #1 for the round and level up, I believe is amplifying the clustering of dominant matches in terms of have a region of enhancement.

I put up the LEVEL not for users to strive for being on top but I really should be "LEVEL OF ADMIN CONCERN" where one should not strive to go over some threshold.

So setting these algorithms is a balancing act, as I want to automate the handicaps just like golf so stronger players can compete with less-skilled players.

But I had to capped the lower limit of 20/20 since some skilled players were complaining and I don't want to lose more players than I keep with a given guideline.

So I had seen skilled players getting high levels, even OTaC members but 71 is just crazy. That basically says that if any player wants to be #1 for the match they should leave the server if you are on since there is no point. Sort of like you leaving if you are in the middle of a match.

idea: So what I think I may want to do is the following.... add a new feature with a hard limit just like "never score 50+" .
It would basically be as follows. Anyone with a LEVEL of above 30 (I will let players get to 30) will have KD limit of 5 ... yes 5
And that should steer you back down.....

High skilled players will need to take responsibility.... by letting others take the match ... strive for being #2 if your level is too high.
I would also encourage you to play what ever match you join

I of course need to code this feature and I am not going to get to it for weeks. And I might need to augment it to be 30 matches that were #1 and over some score threshold so you are not penalized for playing against really bad players (i.e. you score 10 and are #1)

That is just an idea....

But it does highlight that I seem to have an inclination as to where I think we should draw the line on dominant players, namely don't go over LEVEL 30.

So 1AndOnlyGod, I will be happy to unban you if you can self-limit and get your LEVEL under 30. You know how the system works, so you know how to do this. It takes 100 matches of being #2 or lower to get to LEVEL 0. Please note that you have to score at least 10 for it to count toward your 100 matches

Please acknowledge that this is agreeable to you and I will unban you and let you start being #2 or #3 for a while or play the matches from the middle.

Please advise.

Who is this guy? If you think I have my self a victory cigar over dominating casuals in TDM in a dusty old nostalgic game that is nearly 13 years old, you're wrong. It's just me misunderstanding that this LEVEL system wasn't for the players sake.

2021-08-06 at 7:00 PM - Kylian:

The simple solution is obviously me taking it easy and not focusing on the LEVEL, and joining ongoing games. I'm a fan of the LEVEL >30 = 5 K/D to force you down. You should implement something so suicides won't count towards the console admin's K/D limit because it's still very possible to rank no. 1. And I wasn't the one to come up with this strat, other people does it as well to maximize their kills.

I acknowledge and agree to your terms.

Last point:

Regarding: "You're here to rack up kills and beat your chest "

It is not a negative thing if that is true.

I don't begrudge anyone their
- skill
- good eyesite
- map knowledge
- high-end gaming rig
- ping
- reflexes
- desire to win or feeling good about doing so (all games have a winner or they are not games)

I only want people to play in such a way that the server population is not negatively impacted.
