Getting back into Linux as my daily driver and realized gaming has come a long way since the last time I used it regularly. Does anyone have experience/tips on getting WaW to install and run? I had a friend suggest going the Proton route: https://www.protondb.com/app/10090 Thanks in advance folks! |

Thanks Barcode!! I'm running Mint and got it to install via Proton but it won't allow me to create an online profile name. What method did you use with Proton? I used the Steam install that I already had on my machine hoping that'd be good enough. Last edit by UncleCreeepy at 2024-06-12 at 12:30 PM (1x Edited) |

I had to enable Steam Play for supported and all other titles under Settings > Compatibility (I use Proton Experimental for everything), then I just downloaded the game from steam and clicked play. I am not sure if you have a CD with key how much different it will be compared to buying it from Steam. If you still have issues you may check out the reports on ProtonDB at https://www.protondb.com/app/10090 to see if anyone else has encountered the same issue. |
