Earlier today were playing on Upheaval, and I killed Angus with my BAR. As I killed Angus, someone from another building began shooting through the walls (trying to get me) I did not know where the bullets were coming from, so I dashed up the stairs to get away from the bullets and immediately crouched again once I got up the stairs out the barrage of bullets. Angus then threatened to kick me if I ran again. I replied that there were bullets blasting through the walls (it is not against the rules to run from enemy fire to the nearest cover) and he immediately kicked me. I got back into the server and accused Angus of admin abuse (his usual kind of activity) and he trolled me Some of these Admins get frustrated and jump to conclusions (especially Angus) and make hasty kicks, and are more than willing to silence those who stand up for themselves. I invite anyone who can view the game play to look at the recording and they can plainly see that I was telling the truth. Angus has had his admin privileges removed before for his behavior, and it seems that he is continuing with his bullying type attitude. I post this here in these forums as I have no idea where else to put these kinds of complaints. Thank you for your time |

OK so, did he see you running again before he kicked you? Was it a timed kick? I mean to ask, how many minutes or hours did you lose from game play? Was there a number given or was it just Zero time lost as I assume? Also, if it was a zero time kick, what exactly is it that you're mad about? Is it the fact that its Angus? or that you were trolled for being disruptive to the server? or was it the loss of a probably very positive k/d? Was it all 3 of those things? I'm not sure what to do with this complaint as it stands. So lets just throw this out there... I would like to invite you to be an active OTmC member for 48 total hours of gameplay. I want you to actively moderate and administrate the server with us for a total in game time of 48 hours. You can read the rules here in the forums to get reacquainted. Pay particular note to rule #6 please. You will kick campers, you will warn runners before kicking them, you will troll whiny regulars who get their panties in a bunch about whatever it is that got them this time. You will call a liar a liar and so on and so on. I have a feeling that you will decline because you're you. I also have a feeling you couldn't get through it anyways. I don't want some story about a server you used to run. If you were good at it, you would still be running it. Its just a yes or no. Yes you'll take the 48 hr job. Or no.... ??? |

Immediately after he respawned he stated in chat that if I run again, I'd be gone. It was a zero time limit kick, but thats not the point of my complaint. My complaint is that Angus (and some other admins as well) has a long history of overreacting, and wont hesitate to abuse his/their admin privileges to silence and bully players. Angus (and others) try to admin while playing at the same time. Which is fine, but it means that they are not spectating and it leads them to make wild assumptions that they actually act on. If you try to defend yourself- Kick Try to call them on their BS- Trolled They make sure to shut us up one way or another if we dare try to stand up to them Thats wrong. Very wrong. And no, I never ran a server or ever been an admin. I never wanted any of that for myself. I know my own limitations. The insult? Im insulted you said no honestly. I really thought I might light a little fire under your ass lol Oh well, I guess you can continue to have things your way on your side of the fence. Also, I did get to the bottom of things with a game log and conversation. You had a lot to say after getting trolled, and when you hit the 5 text limit you were removed. What you didn't get to see because you kicked yourself was Angus had attempted to untroll you. Its our job to make sure the server runs smoothly. You say you're treated unfairly, the logs say you broke the rules twice. Angus didn't even warn you with a !wr command. It was purely verbal. I think going forward its best for you to try to understand that not every warning is direct assault on your character. If there is only 1 admin on at anytime we have to deal with 10 total, to 40 total players. And we do this for the server, not you personally. So just try to have a conversation and not a confrontation, if you're going to distract us from the server... you're just going to be removed until you can calm yourself down. Aaaannd... offer still stands. Its about perspective man. Think about it |

I didn't kick for running, even though there were several running events on that map, and the map prior, that i saw and let go. I didn't post a !wr warning either. I put in chat run again, say bye. I'm sorry you didn't like the verbage. Claiming getting shot at when, after killing my avatar, it went to spectating you as you ran away claiming getting shot at, when there wasn't any shots, resulted in a nope from me. The disruptive verbal tirade in chat did result in no time kick. Coming back in with another verbal tirade resulted in a question did you want to be trolled, resulting in yet another tirade, so troll, and yet another tirade, resulting in self kick. The fact that I am in the company of evidently, several admins, who you say are the bane of civilization, begs the question, Is the issue with the several admins? or maybe you having issues with how the rules apply to you verses everyone else. You see me breaking the rules? So having said that, I totally agree with Tip. Join the Clan. give it a go, see how much fun it can be. Meanwhile, I adminned no differently to you than I do anyone else in the game. The goal here is to monitor the rules of the game to keep it fun for all players, not just you. |

OTaC has a lot of people that have been playing in the server for many of years. Those folks enjoy the game style and having fun with one another. Admins try their best to ensure that the game is played as fairly as possible. Bad talking or misbehavior of that type is not warranted towards any admin. What is your player's name? Anyway, have fun and enjoy the game play. |

Also, I don't see how being an admin is a "Difficult job" that Bash wouldn't want to accept as a justification for stepping out of bounds as an admin. I'm not saying anyone stepped out of bounds here, I'm just saying that it isn't a justificaiotn. |

Well Chabag, as an example, i present the basis of this post. From where Im sitting Bash is incapable of being able to handle a simple warning without coming unglued. This directly reflects the attitude and temperament he requires to be even a capable admin let alone an effective one. I think its great that he at least can recognise that for himself. I have to wonder though, does this thread get started if its not Angus who makes the kick? Probably not. Its just low hanging fruit. |

less "defiant escalation" will bring about more gameplay - try it It does not matter if you are right or the admin is right, since from each perspective you both feel you are right. What matters is getting past whatever the disagreement is as quickly as possible. That is done by deescalating. This is just a game, play the game if you enjoy playing the game. |

This is exactly what Angus does : kick for no time and then play. I must add that Bash, who is quite a good player, is also a frequent rule breaker and when he does, after being reminded that there are rules, with a !wr or a full text in chat, he gets kicked, end of the story. |
