create new profile ingame.

turn game off

go to " C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Activision\C oDWaW\players\profiles "

(if you need to show hidden folders see here: http://www.wikihow.com/Unhide-Folders-in -Windows-7)

move "mpdata" and "config_mp" and "config" from the old profile folder into the new profile folder.

start the game

and done! you will have all the guns and levels you had before in a new profile

hello. well that is weird. try replacing the files again. that works for me...

EDIT: you dont change the name of your old profile. you keep the old profile and create a new, with another name BUT with the same level and guns.

you may need to copy everything that is inside the old profile folder and paste and replace everything inside the new profile.

ok i dont see where i am failling.... lets recap:

1-create new profile ingame;

2-turn game off;

3- go to "C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Activ ision\CoDWaW\players\profiles" where XXXXX is your windows username;
(i think my mistake was here)

4- open the folder with the same name as your old profile and copy all the content;

5- open the folder with the same name as your new profile and paste and replace all the content;
(to avoid mistakes i would delete everything and then paste on the empty folder)

6-start the game, if you are not automaticly in the new profile, select it and laod it. and you should now have the exact same level and progress on the newly created profile as you have in the old one.

any more help needed, just ask

So how do I use my old profile? I use to have the disc which is all but gone and now have it on steam. I found the file you mentioned above but I also found my old original one. how do I use the old "Drifter" profile?

Thank you DadDrifter aka Drifter

so you have the mpdata and the mpconfig files? just slap the mpdata on the folder named after the profile you are using now and you'll have all the guns and levels you had before

Your Drifter profile is associated to the key code you used on your disc set. I don't see a place to enter key codes in the game, the way you used to be able to on earlier games like COD1 or CODuo.

If you run more than one version of WAW, you have to be careful not to copy/ paste from each version of game. To notice this you will see a mpdata.corrupt file (Something like that). I have several versions of WAW and have to be careful with them.
