During my first couple games, and on the map Roundhouse, someone complained of me not crouching - but that never happened. On Asylum, whilst using the SVT, I do believe heard a complaint of entering the enemy spawn. Then on Upheaval, the previous complaint then led me to roaming just outside of enemy spawn - with no los to spawners - where I also ran out of ammo and picked up a bolt rifle. I think it might've been Upheaval where I went "39 and 7". 2. exceeded 35 kills. 3. used semi-auto svt. 4. honda says i use speed mouse(or mouse wheel) for faster firing. Admin who banned you: honda Home country: USA Why you believe you should be unbanned: 1. I had no warning from any admin(aside from not crouching - which, again, never happened). I played maybe two sessions, with a full server at all times as far as I knew. 2. I do remember exceeding 35 kills and having maybe 2 excellent rounds(Asylum, Upheaval). At least one game I forgot to check scoreboards and reached "39 kills and 7 deaths" as I was immersed in playing. I tried to play fair, I never sought to camp, and when I scored many kills I would try to push(except sometimes this is pushing spawns without backup, as most prefer to camp - which then becomes a question, "do i stick with my squad, or do i keep spamming 'w'?"). The last game I remember finally using the bolt rifle and perhaps getting a little greedy. I was using a new monitor and my playstyle was different and surprising to myself(changing equipment like that, you are curious what your skills will be like). Of course, I often would check the scoreboard and I would make sure not to exceed 35 kills, even when others are pushing 35+ kills and team scores are neck and neck. 3. I used the semi-auto svt, which I used because I had reinstalled the game and decided to use the starting kit(I didn't want to go fishing for my old config, as I didn't plan to play too long). 4. About the mouse wheel thing. With all due respect, this is a completely false accusation. It's nothing special but does show my awesome click speed: http://www.mediafire.com/download/kxn80x rsovirwbk/pal-a-din3.dm_6 What you'll notice is that this game allows you to fire as fast as you can click - and with the 85hz cap you might notice a bit more stutter when firing. Macro > mousewheel > legit clicking. Now, it is my opinion that clicking is better than macro and mousewheel firing when it comes to conserving your shots and allowing you to target multiple enemies instead of just a spamming all willy nilly. Flick shots also seem more comfortable without using mousewheel or macro. If you were to decide to use mousewheel or macro, then you would probably expect to use sleight of hand for faster reloading. So, anyway, I hope that the demos show you that you can indeed, and legitimately, fire very fast in the game, but it is no match for the macro script. It was actually the first time I put together a script and tested in game, and it's pretty much insane. TL;DR. I got carried away testing a new monitor. And after having stayed away from the game for awhile and feeling rusty, I was a bit unsure of my abilities(it's not like I have an alt account or anything). I have provided evidence to clear me of speedmouse/mouse-wheel usage. I seek competitive-ish play, but have no problem playing whilst keeping other players fun in mind. However, I mostly don't like heavy camping(due to poor monitor visibility) nor heavily teamstacked matches, but I do not then turn on hax or seek unfair advantage - no, I fight through it, or leave(but it's mostly camping on Asylum that's my biggest peeve). I am mostly a quiet player - I play for the challenge - and yea, I get frustrated like everyone else(which has to be the biggest hook for any shooter as long as it's fair, right?). I don't like the direction of Call of Duty on PC, and, to get my military shooter fix, I look forward to playing WaW(and Battlefield 1/Rising Storm 2) for many more hours. There are a ton of great players playing WaW, but I'm sure they're only great because they've been playing CoD forever and don't have much choice when all the new CoDs are so plainly terrible. I want to reiterate my desire to play fair and hope my name can be cleared. And I want to end by thanking you guys for the good games I've had on your server. So thanks! I did have fun. |

Paladin, I apologize ... when I made my last post I actually did my research on you case but dropped the ball to follow up with mackey and honda. Ban was for a scrollwheel at least initially. What I did was to see how fast *I* could click my mouse with an SVT to determine a rate of fire. I posted as supporting video internally.My rate of fire was as fast as yours or faster indicating that your rate of fire is not "out of spec" and does not require a keyboard macro or scroll wheel fire button mapping to achieve. Looking at the ban list I see this annotation: 196302010 Pal-a-din /SPEED MOUSE do not unban till talk to Honda So I think the way I interpret that is Honda himself ordered your ban, it I think beyond the fast mouse (which seems okay) it looks like you were also being a dominant player. From your stats (forgive the data is duplicated twice for recent games) http://24.147.101.172/otac/players/100/0 196302010.png I see you are having very high K-D and also high killstreaks so what we want to do is ask that you you self limit so as not to drive away other players. As such I am adding you to an elite group of players that have additional restrictions when they play. In your case, we will ask you to switch to a bolt/shotgun at 20+ kills, and keep your K-D under 20 at all times. How you manage that is up to you. Try more challenging weapons, take more risks and die more, all up to you. There are about a dozen players that enjoy our server with this "golf handicap". We will see how you do with those limits and make adjustments as seems fair. I think Honda would stress that he wants dominant players to not drive people away, dominant players have the same effect as hackers. If people think you are hacking they leave. So we try to ask skilled players to tone it down a bit to keep the other players on the server. Especially late at night pacific time. you may want to tone it down even further when server population is low anyway. If that all makes sense.... Please post "I agree and understand" in this thread, and I will remove your ban and you will then be free to enjoy our server with those restrictions in effect.
