Hi OTAC - Attempting to connect to your W@W server for the first time in a few weeks and find that I can see it in my Favorites list but I cannot successfully access the session, times out. When I load my Internet list I only have 4 servers listed (they work) but none of them are OTAC. Any idea what may have changed / how to correct? Activision has changed something I suspect...how can I get back in? Thanks very much, Matt |

The whole day there are Server Problems, BushidoSaN1 said it crashed 3 Times while he was playing and i had to Restart the server 1 Time too because ppl not able to Connect and its Laggy since this Week. |

Hello guys I still have problems connecting to the server today, I tried to connect multiple times but I can not ! Maybe there is a bigger issue or problem weather in you in us as I see in the news !? nice regards

Has happened to me several; times the last few days also crashed when I was in game and I lost all ranks and info, these things happen just start over again. |

I have asked Honda to make a distributable login/password for the admin panel, so that most admin can restart the server until we get past this anomaly. Waiting to hear back |

Maybe this helps when ppl cant log into the server If you reload these: set sv_master1 "cod5master.activision.com" set sv_master2 "cod5authorize.activision.com" set sv_master3 "cod5master.infinityward.com" set sv_master3 "cod5update.activision.com" instead of restarting the server Last edit by Rampant at 2018-01-11 at 9:28 AM (1x Edited) |

you can setup a new separate config and execute that from rcon example: masterserver.cfg use as exec masterserver.cfg the admins should have the rights to exec server files this is how i would have set it on my server change the file-type from .txt to .cfg once uploaded dont know if it will do the trick also its possible that you need to enable PB for it, although i cant see why it should be enabled Files:

Yeah, I tried that. Well it does not matter the settings do not get us past this particular problem. Only a server restart. Thank you for your help. I think I will try to pick one of the other ones as the master1 server and see if that changes anything. It takes hours to know so this is a tedious and iterative process And it doesn't help that I wait hours to get it into the failing state and some admin or Honda just goes and reboots it, thwarting my testing. Currently I am look into ways to automate this, but the admin panel that I have to use to initiate the restart does not have persistent cookies. So I am looking into ways to do something. restarting every game would also require me to alter the map rotation at each restart. It would be complicated. |
