Narvik-22 is one of our regular players as well as a regular rule breaker. Although Narvik-22 should know the rules by now (admins have time and time again explained the rules to him) he continues to break them on almost a daily basis. Furthermore, when confronted with his rule breaking (trolling status, constant warnings and kicks) he harasses not only admins but other players on the server. Narvik speaks some English (well enough to insult others in English) but I believe his native language is French. I don't speak French but when I have translated what he is typing in the in game chat, it too can be hostile. Narvik is a disruptive player. He is not a hacker or cheater by the standard definition but he constantly and knowingly breaks the server rules that have been set in place. There is a reason this server continues to be so popular and its because we have great admins who not only enforce the rules but are also very helpful and create a welcoming community. Its an admins job to explain the rules first, be understanding because rules can take time to learn, then take further action if the rules cannot be conveyed. I am asking for our French speaking admins/members/admins to please talk to Narvik about his behavior on the server. Narvik-22, if you read the forums, I would love to hear your side of things. Narvik has been several times banned due to reiterative bad language or breaking the rules. Our admin Arcadien (who can speak french) has already talked to him in the past, without positive results. ------------------

It's a shame, when he plays nice (seldom) he's a solid player. One of the other things he likes to do is game play troll other players by gassing, smoking, airknifing, and movement blocking. A couple of nights ago he blocked King of Pain into a corner on subpens. |

What I would like to explain to the rest of OTaC especially new players. 1. If I were ban/remove a player every time they did something wrong I would remove you me and everyone else. 2. The server requires a minimum "critical mass" of players to stay running. Namely if there were only 5 people on the server you may not join since it is not fun. If there were 10-12 people you would join the server since that would still be fun. So yes Narvik is a pain "at times" but most of the time say 90% of the time he is below the radar and is a repeat regular that provides the valuable service to us of keeping our critical mass above water. We are fortunate that we have enough international players to sustain this critical mass 24/7. 3. People only remember the bad even when the good (not-bad) is prevalent the majority of the time. So when you are seeing bad, cut some people some slack. People have bad days. People have real problems in their lives. Maybe that carries over into the game. But at the end of the day we are here to have fun, even Narvik. And we need even the Narvik's on the server. If the server is full, by all means Kick the bad Narvik. Tom, the problem with Narvik is such that when he joins the server several of our regulars wind up leaving. The trade off is that we loose more than we gain with this individual. |

Who specifically is is so offended by Narvik that they must leave when he is on? That is their choice - and they sound like divas .... if I am being honest. when you are saying a statement like this you are basically asking me to retrieve historical data to show empirically player headcount when Narvik is on and look for statistically drops of headcount which coincide with his being on that are not there when he is not on. All I know is if we boot Narvik, I know for sure that headcout will be reduced by 1 fewer player. You have long kicks at your disposal. it takes a moment. |

They say the squeaky wheels get the grease Tom. Historical data shows evidence that he calls us cunts both in game and on forum when he has trouble operating his mouse and key board when he struggles in game. Also countless lines of ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? when again, hes struggling. I told him once before to put the game down, walk away and maybe get real help instead of this gong show we keep allowing to happen for the sake of player count. I'm not alone in saying no body wants him around. We all play here because we enjoy it here. Its our place to relax and unwind. When hes here its much less relaxing. Especially when he takes his long kicks and spends 4 maps in row trying to enter. I'm sure you've seen other players auto kicked for a prior temp ban a few times in a row. Allowing this to go on as it does, and in the manner it becomes allowed; is a large part of the problem with Narvik and so many other habitual line steppers here on this server. Players do leave because of him and other players with their own bad habits. You can look up and down this thread alone for all the historical data you need to see that losing 1 Narvik is not a problem for anyone but you. This thread started in August of 2020. There are several other threads from this year 2021 all to do with him. Maybe he'll take the hint finally with the long kicks at our disposal. Maybe he needs something more definitive. Not singling out just you, as there are others....... But I have received more complaints about heavy handed adminning by OTaC Mr.Mtip than I do about a disruptive Narvik. Just saying.... If I am am to address all problem people that play on our servers because someone complained ... well I am trying not to..... since it is double edge sword that cuts into our members too. |

Id imagine thats actually true. I play here far more often under that name and several other then he does. How many times has Narvik, Nixan, bluebonnet or whatever been removed in the last two years. I dont make alot of noise when i play here other than removing players who need it, or confronting player(s)s about some very heavy accusations. No one is asking you to address all problem players on our servers. We are continually pointing out that there is a continual problem that is not being addressed. We all know hes going to take his long kick, come back, and do it again. Its the definition of insanity that would should expect anything different at this point. It will, and I'll be right back here going to bat for the regulars who thank us, and admins who are tired of trying Maybe he'll come back next time as the ultimate troll. Hit us with the ol reverse Uno card. Become a fine upstanding model of a player here. One who has patience to operate his mouse and deal with his ping. One who has a clear concise understanding of the rules who might even attempt to enforce them himself. Maybe thats insincere, maybe Im just being glib. I understand the point you try to drive home about player count. We all love playing on this server. Voodoo isnt wrong. Regulars do leave when he comes on. Regulars beg us to do something about him when he is on. Regulars thank as when we finally do. If our regulars knew you were calling them divas for dealing with what we admins have to deal with, minus the ability to do so other than leaving, I think you would have more complaints than the same 3 or 4 players calling me heavy handed. Certainly more complaints than Narvik has accrued in the last two years. I personally am annoyed with the lack of trust versus the idea of player count. |

I agree with Mtip, I have had many dealings with Narvik on the game. I don't think he has ever managed to go more than 2 maps without kicking off. I understand the issue of player numbers on WAW and other cod games that I play. Don't know what I will do when they turn off this game that I love playing. That said this individual really does not deserve all this time spent trying to allow him to adjust his attitude. I think he's a lost cause and the server is better off without him. |

This thread is older then one Year and Narvik wasnt playing with his regular name more then 1 Month ago , idk what is to talk here, its nothing against anybody here, i am asking only whats the point and the reason

Guys Narvik is not a problem, and if players are leaving over Narvik Then that is news to me since his last time on our server was Sept 5 2021, almost 2 months ago. And that is because he is banned - Now I recall saying that you could ban him and he can appeal and that would start a conversation with me and him. So that appeal has not happened as of yet.
