So I stopped playing the server 18 months ago and came back this week, I have mostly enjoyed it however today I've just seen a real butt hurt Angus calling me out for walking. Whatever you think of the old 10th (I was there during the whole Honda episode) I played there, and here and BK loads and I am not an habitual rule breaker, like anyone I've had a few kicks for language that is probably acceptable in my circle of friends but not here and for that I apologise. I resent being accused of walking because some whiny asshole doesn't like getting shot. I have seen 2 instances of power abuse today and this and I'm going to say (not that anyone will care) I won't be back. The admin standards have dropped and that is a real pity as this used to be a good server. Adios! |

Hi Grey_Area, thank you for your post, we appreciate the feedback. We try ensure that admin are uniform in execution of admin tasks, but the reality is that the players are human and that admin are human and each individual will admin with some level of scrutiny. Yes I feel Angus is likely more heavy-handed than most, but I do not feel yet that he has crossed some line that requires it to be addressed. Just as each of us has good or bad days, or is going through a difficult time, players may do the wrong thing sometimes, or may misinterpret a situation. By the same token and admin can do the wrong thing sometimes or may misinterpret the situation. At the end of the day we would like the admin to be tolerant of players and not nitpick every infraction unless it is habitual. And by the same token we would like players to be tolerant of admin and not nitpick every judgement call unless it is habitual, in which case please come to the forums and complain as you have. Remember there is no life or death concern about playing a game so it it fine to be imperfect (player or admin). If he says you were walking, and you know you were not, unless you were kicked there is no consequence to you so no need to have an argument, since when both sides feel they are in the right, and from each perspective each is justified to have that opinion, the only possible outcome is to have it escalate until an admin gets mad and boots the player. So when there is disagreement, I would like both player and admin to let it go - in game. If there needs to be more discussion, then do it here in the forums. We do not want heavy-handed admin here for sure - If anyone wants a role model - emulate J-Man .... he is like a "horse whisperer" for misbehaving players. Come on everyone this is just a game and it is supposed to be fun. |

First it helps if you cease calling people names, especially in a forum . try being mature. Second, I am very stingy with warnings as a rule for a regular, albeit someone of your apparent gaming expertise. I rarely temp ban and have never perm banned anyone. That being said, I will tell you this. You walked by me, footsteps being heard, it may have been unintended, granted, you got a warning. No kick, no ban, you came right back and were being quite rude. However, all I said was please don't walk. Lastly, I can tell you this. Do it again and you will be warned. Follow the rules, and we have no problems. |

I believe I was on the server when this happened,. If I remember rightly Angus gave you a warning for walking and then you kicked off about it. It was a simple warning to remind you of the rules and didn't justify your reactions to a simple warning. |

Grey, we had our own isues in the past. Please remember if a admin tells you something, no need to throw out the dummy of your pram! |
