Hello everyone - let me first start off by saying that I have had a wonderful experience on this server. We're truly a unique bunch, with many diverse backgrounds and personal histories. It's been a pleasure getting to know a good many of you on TeamSpeak, and I greatly enjoy the banter, stories, and laughs! I've gotten to know many of you and am looking forward to meeting many more new and old players alike. I do, however, want to relay an experience I had early this morning that I think is important to note: I was in game (Roundhouse) - opposing team was "pushing" spawn - as they put it - which actually meant, in this case, prone and not moving - shooting directly into spawn. There happened to be an OTaC online who not only saw what was happening, but made a comment about it clearly being spawn killing. However, the OTaC gave no warnings. We had several runners, and again - the OTaC gave no warnings. German LaGGer - who has admin capabilities but is not an OTaC, took it upon himself to hand out warnings and kick habitual offenders. Which brings me to my point - the OTaC tag means something. Players see that tag and gain a certain level of comfort knowing that habitual rule breakers will be dealt with. That's why this server has been around as long as it has. If you're an OTaC, please remember you signed up for this responsibility. No one forced you to volunteer. Honda made it abundantly clear early on, the server comes first, our personal game 2nd. I'm not talking about warning for every little infraction - if that was the case, we'd never have any playing time - but for goodness sakes - if it's a habitual offense - CALL THEM ON IT! Don't force a guest to do the job for you - that makes the server look poorly managed, and tarnishes the OTaC reputation. This is by no means, as far as I can tell, a habitual offense on any admin's part. Also, I don't want to publicly call out the OTaC in question. I appreciate all of you, and again, I truly enjoy the experience I have here and look forward to many more!! I hope this is read as constructive, and not divisive, as I believe my heart is in the right place. - Mex |

I was in that game, and I actually was trying twice to take your spawn. I got in your guy's position, killed 3 IIRC then got killed, spawned not far, got back in your position and killed the remaining people and took the spawn. There just was no spawn camping as you say (unless some other people were also killing you). You were killed by someone in your camp, in close-combat. You just never figured it out  To add insult to the injury: I was using the M1 Garand   Take it easy, that happens when some push in the other team's spawn

Thank you, Cold_Sly, for the comment. However, spawn-camping and spawn-killing is not the point I was trying to make. Yes, I understand that that happens. There's a fine line between playing the game and taking advantage of a defenseless player - but that's not the issue here. In this instance, the SK wasn't the only infraction .... or perceived infraction. See you in game, bro!! - Mex |

A couple of things: #1 Members can always issue warnings - in fact if a member issues warnings the otherwise sleeping OTaC can do the kick/ban #2 OTaC and OTmC don't have to be on duty all the time, sometimes you just want to play. It is not a job, there is no pay. It is up to each admin what they want to call out or not. I do not call out every infraction. The game is imperfect, the players are imperfect, the admin are imperfect. Tolerance is a virtue. #3 I have finally gotten around to making MexicanRadio an admin - So YOU can now deal with the problems facing you yourself - YAY! Enjoy!
