Player: Jaxon Douglas Conspicuous Player: [OTaC]sandman_7 Time of incident: Around 4:00 EST Incident: Got kicked, re-joined asked for clarification, was told I broke the rules and stop whining. I was walking sighted; I thought maybe it was someone who didn't realize that's not forbidden so I said that ADS walking was allowed. All I wanted was the reason why I was kicked, I asked again and got kicked again. A simple sentence would of sufficed like "you were burst running". I thought for a second it was the PDG server and I might of ran for literally 2 seconds when I first joined the server; never killed anyone, apologized, then like 5 minutes later when I was following all the rules I get kicked. Nothing was said just a kick. Like someone on here has to realize the consequence of acting like that. I see multiple complaints about admins on this forum and I do believe that's why the server population dwindles. I didn't mean any malice and the way this admin came off was extremely off putting and oppressive. |

Youre believe must run a rig to you for saying the Population is dwindling, i could think you were burst running a couple of times and get warned for it before, the reason you are not a New Player, makes you to a regular Player, regular Players who knows the rules get kicked without a warning when doing cheats like little burst runs here, you seems to know the rules very well and admins do not kick without any reason. Look at the log file please I sprinted only at the start for a very short period of time because I didn't realize I was on this server, I said sorry in voice chat, I thought I was on one of the PDG servers. If that's why they kicked me why wait so long and why not just tell me??? |

Why wait 5 minutes later to kick me and why not just say "you sprinted at the start" when I asked about why I got kicked? Why be so rude. |

Maybe the reason Was you ask over and over again why you get kicked, idk ,like i say , a Admin dont kick without a reason, maybe you did it again by mistake and you didnt notice it and other reported you , the Logfiles and Sandman will bring light into the dark. I wasnt there, but i will protect our admins and i am sure he would not kick you for no reason and Sandman allways Adresses first ,before kick, warn,ban someone. A couple of things: When a player gets kicked there is always a kick reason given at the time of kicking. PlayerName is being KICKED - NOT CROUCHED PlayerName is being KICKED - BAD LANGUAGE or sometimes therre is no reason: PlayerName is being KICKED - ADMIN DECISION Unless they used a separate rcon tool, which I don not believe this the case here there is ALWAYS a kick reason. Often times the player being kicked is engrossed in the game and does not see colorful message with their name on it saying that they are being kicked. They just see Player Kicked screen and your are off the server. At that moment any player wishing to know WHY they are kicked can type shift-tilde (shift ~) to bring up the full screen console and you should be able to find that colorful KICK text with a reason at the bottom of the console output. If you do this you should never have to ask WHY WAS I KICKED? when you return to game. If you are kicked for ADMIN DECISION, or kicked via external rcon tool that leaves no reason, then yes you are justified to ask why you were kicked when you return. Now when you get back in game and you ask in text chat why you were kicked, please consider that in the same way that you may have been engrossed in your game and not seen the kick reason, the admin that kicked you may be engrossed in their game and not seen your question. But if you are persistent in demanding an answer repeatedly that is seen as argumentative and THAT will probably get you kicked again. This is just a game and players are imperfect, and admin are imperfect. If you were kicked and came right back you are playing again so it should be still fun. Admin generally don't kick without reason, they can be mistaken, but their perception is what they make kick decisions on. I will look up the logs if you can provide your in-game name, the date of the match and the map if you know it to save me some work. In general sandman_7 usually is justified in all admin duties but we are all imperfect. |

I cannot speak for what Mikke witnessed whether you were running or not I do not see warnings for running before the kick - so my only constructive criticism is that I would like to see Mikke issue a warning before kicking. However, I do see that he warned many other players prior to that so perhaps I am okay with each not player not getting their own personal warning, the screen has been filled with warnings about running that all players should know by then. I do sense a slight "Karen"-like tone about Jaxon's responses and the plethora of complaints that followed. Perhaps that was not the most agreeable form of action to solicit a favorable outcome. Sandman was only chiming in to assert what he had seen on screen - that another admin had kicked you for running. He is not wrong in telling you that. That is the reason he saw on screen. He did not kick you, Mikke did. And you said to him "You're wrong" and he kicked you for trolling..... That does not seem unreasonable, and the threshold is somewhat subjective admin to admin. others may have handled it differently, but I don't see it as an abuse of power, but merely an assertion of power. For the record, I know that I have played incognito, and I was being shot at, and ran around a corner, only to be face to face with more enemy, so I ran up stairs and at the top of the stairs was another enemy lying prone - who I stabbed. The stabbed player was an admin that then kicked me for running. I even as soon as I did it stated I was under fire, but I still got kicked. So yes the wrong thing happened, but I can see from the admin's perspective how it looks, and player runs around a corner and up the stairs and stabs me = kick!
