Hello, I have a suggestion / question Card: Subpens There are players who use only the pistol never any other weapon. Can not we introduce here the rule for example 8-8-8 after 8 shots with the pistol, another weapon must be used at least as long, and after 40 kills another weapon must be used as well. I do not like that some use only the pistol, even at 40+. Thank you. Sry 4 my english  Greetings |

I was on playing when this came up. I get the sentiment, but not sure I agree. The problem was really one person, rustyer266, on that map who was doing exactly as you say, only using his pistol and really piling up the kills. He has been problematic lately on every map and frankly most of the time if I see him on the server I won't join the game. He tends to dominate everything, fairly or by hack I don't know, and it unbalances the server. When someone calls him out he has an attitude and just, IMO, ruins everyone's fun. He keeps saying he is going to quit the server soon, but has yet to follow through on that threat/promise. I just don't like the idea of instituting a rule due to one problematic player. Just my $.02 of course, but thought I would chime in since I was on during the map and witnessed him causing problems yet again. |

yes I know too many rules is not good, that makes then also no fun I agree with you fully. Maybe the admins can discuss this among themselves and if it happens the players point it out. Would also be ok. |

Being able to pistol walk subpens to my hearts content is one of the only reasons i still play this game. I wouldnt change it for anything myself. We have bolt only maps, we do shotgun only maps all the time. We have sniper only where camping is allowed when it isnt any other map. I genuinely loathe all the long range camper style maps but I'll still play them, with Cliffside being an exception. I just about never play that dumpster fire of a map. This is just one of those things some players have to grind their teeth and deal with. Im sick of juggernaut corner campers but hell if I can stop them from being there on every map. Anyways, as for the suggestion. There is no way to moderate 8 kills then a switch to primary on a timer. The console already autokicks for using primary weapons past 40 that arent bolt or shotgun. Subpens is the way it is and many players enjoy it solely because of their ability to pistol walk. Pleasing the sheep just to upset the herd is poor way to go about things. I understand your frustrations Yoda_33 but as the map is considered all indoors players who wish to use only the pistol can do it all map or untill they hit a kd limit. |

Rustyer is currently on the admins radar, very much so. So him dominating games still after the report I created, and after his ban for hacking which was overturned. It is unwise for him to keep on dominating games despite being told not to. I think the example changes you have shown are realistically not implementable without a lot of admin time spent watching who shot 8 bullets. I think a better way is to do it is by rooms, pistols are allowed inside rooms only; anyone can tell which spaces inside the sub pen is a room and which is open-space. I think your idea is good Yoda, for nerfing pistol usage on the map. ------------------

I have tried to balance things out by giving people one map in the rotation with different weapon rules, where the rest are just normal rules. For those that like to camp, we have seelow with snipers and camping allowed. For those that like pistols, or shotgun, or bolt only, we have one of those. It is polarizing to do this, as for every person where this becomes their favorite map in the rotation, it becomes the least favorite for someone else. If we did away with the variations it is the same maps over and over and that is boring for ME! There is no solution that will appease everyone. Whatever we change or don't change somebody is going to hate it. Haters are gonna hate. I am not a hater and I don't cater to haters. I don't cater to haters now and the experience won't be greater if the bot creator caters to haters later like some dictator. You guys need to let go of Rustyer's gameplay ...... play better. you are right BitterShock, you can never please everyone and it is good to have variants for everyone. I thought I'd note it, maybe it also moves some players that they do not only play pistol. Thanks for the good discussion. Greetings |

Simple solution - if you don't like the map the way it's set up - don't play it. you don't have to suffer a game of sub pens with me, the only way I wont exclusively use a pistol on sub pens is if you ban them for everyone as the problem really isn't with the gun its self its pistol walking. I'm not going to suffer trying to use a bolt on pens if someone can pistol walk around the corner at mach 10, and the other thing you may not be thinking of is if I don't use a pistol on that map im using an stg44 to 40 and from what the admins tell me they'd like me to use that as little as possible. and so far my usage of the stg44 has gone down in favor of the gewehr 43. i will pull the stg44 out if all the enemy team is going to do is corner camp with jugg its really annoying for every one. and as far as people accusing me of cheating I have hours of gameplay you can watch if you want. |
