Loaded questions: Is the camping rules about K/D or 3 5 rules? Is it standard practice to take actions based on name calling because of k/d ratio (cod players' sentiment) or do admins actually check the 3 5 rules? Is choosing a path going from one cover to the further next without putting ourselves in danger considered camping? What does !hist actually show? How to behave when someone beside biter (so an admin) calls you out for camping? -Is it appropriate to ask them in which "spot" the 3 5 rule was broken? -If an admin gets frustrated because they think you purposfully spawnkilled them when you happened to be checking that spot but didnt see them actually spawn, do you apologize and admit the fault or do you apologize and explain you didnt see them spawn? What if the admin is not satisfied? There are cod servers with anti-camping mechanics damaging players when they stay in the same area. Couldnt a similar detection logic be applied and put in a log callable with a command like !hist to check if the player actually remained in the same spot for a number of time/kills? you were removed today for a nonchalant attitude towards admins and fellow regulars as well as a cavalier attitude towards your own interpretation of the rules. Also, camping, anchoring, trolling and being a snotty little shit. You're lucky it wasnt for longer. You're lucky you are still able to use that foolish name (Biters_tears) We should have just trolled you We will remove you if you persist in being a pain in the ass. Regardless of how many hours you have in playing this game you are so frequently brought up as a problem player by admins and regulars alike that Im personally done with it. My advice is to from now on, stay off the admin radar at all costs. |

I am very aware of the reasonS I was removed today and this is not to challenge the admin's decision. These questions are specifically about camping and players' response towards it. I've been playing for a very long time and clearly I have cultivated a playstyle that isnt appropriate for the server I love. Without turning the server into modded, I do not believe what you propose above is possible. Which is why admins don't wish to sit around babysitting players to ensure they are following the rule when players can do this themselves, but they do anyway when complaints come up in chat. While !hist and !rate can help a lot in terms of seeing if a player is following the camping rule. The only real way is to babysit. You're free to play the camp playstyle, just be open to questions if you have a vastly positive K/D. ------------------

What we don't want is a score of 45 kills 2 deaths 1. Everyone thinks you're hacking 2. Everyone thinks you're camping 3. Admin have to babysit to determine which one rather than play the game. 4. A large portion of our members/admin/regulars hate campers and dominant players even if they are dominant too. If you are being called out for camping, move forward after 3 kills, risk death to push in and flip the spawn. Then everyone will leave you alone. |

Respectfully What other players think of your playing style isn't relevant for admin, however if you choose to respond to their "accusations" or "suggestions" my advice is to ignore it if it bothers you, or respond within common courtesy parameters. If we (admin) see players bullying or picking on other players we end it immediately. If it persists then action is taken immediately. Those situations are never good and are best ended pronto! If a players aim is to argue or fight with admin we can resolve that easily too. It is very bothersome to other players when these issues arise and are not handled as they can easily spiral into a chat war that nobody needs to put up with. |
